The R-IB IL 24/230 DOR4/W-PAC input module is designed for inline stations and features four floating SPDT relay contacts. This module is suitable for both SELV and AC environments with a safe isolation standard in compliance with EN 50178 to allow flexible integration. It provides a nominal output current of 3 A per channel that supports a total current of 12 A which makes it suitable for a variety of actuator connections. The relay output employs AgSnO₂ hard gold plated contacts with a low resistance of 50 mΩ at 6 V/100 mA to ensure robust and reliable switching. Power consumption varies with communication speeds demanding 7.5 V DC and operating at either 500 kbps or 2 Mbps depending on system requirements. The module’s switching frequency reaches up to 1200 cycles/min without load and 6 cycles/min with nominal load with minimal response and release delays of around 5 - 6 ms each.

This module is compact with dimensions of 48.8 x 120 x 71.5 mm and weighs 153 g with connectors. It operates in a process data mode of 4 bits with the module’s electronics supplied via bus coupler through potential routing. The input module include a maximum switching voltage of 253 V AC/250 V DC, a limiting continuous current of 3 A and a switching current of 0.15 A at 250 V DC. It supports an inrush current peak of 6 A for brief loads and capacitive demands. The relay has an electrical service life of 10⁵ cycles and a mechanical service life of 2 x 10⁷ cycles.
