Product Description
The PST6100.333-L is a rugged thyristor power unit manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. The power unit is used in changing and reducing current resistance during welding. The PST power unit can be integrated easily into a welding machine through the BOS-5000 operator interface that offers quick programming, operation, and diagnostics. The power inverter unit is designed with a filed bus interface for control, communication, and system monitoring functions. Other features integrated into the thyristor power unit include one slot for the type-specific I/O interface, a single optional port for the field bus module used in programming, a provision for retrofitting a quality module, and a weld timer. For reliable application and use of the power unit, a thermostatic switch is incorporated to signal any overload on the thyristor power unit to the weld timer. The PST power unit load capability is predefined by maximum welding transformer rating.
A complete PST6100.333-L system used with the welding transformer complies with the EN 50240 and is operated at ambient temperatures of a maximum of 55° C. The thyristor power unit can be connected to a grounded power line with a voltage of 400 V -20% to 600 V +10%, 50/60 Hz. The PST unit can also be powered as per the EN 61131-2 with an external power supply with a rated voltage of 24 V DC. Mounting of the thyristor power unit should be inside a switchgear cabinet with IP 54 or. Installation can also be in a standard enclosure with humidity class F as per DIN 40040.
The thyristor power unit should be mounted with a 100 mm allowance on both the top and bottom sides. Without this clearance, overheating may occur and cause power unit failure. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
