Product Description
The PST6100.331-L power unit is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth for interchanging current resistance when welding. A welding system is made of a thyristor power unit, weld transformer, and a weld timer. The PST thyristor power unit is designed as per DIN EN 50082-2 and 50081-2 for industrial operations with electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). The PST power unit is used on welding transformers with maximum outputs of 76 kVA. The rated voltage for the thyristor power unit ranges from 400 to 600 volts with an estimated current of 110 A on continuous thermal current.
The power unit should be mounted near the welding system to reduce cable lengths that exceed 25m. Using longer cable connections may lead to interference in the connection lines. Therefore, the PST unit power cables should be routed separately. The power and signal interference can be reduced by maintaining the following distances: distance greater than 100mm on parallel cable connections shorter than 10 meters, and separation of more than 250 mm on parallel cables longer than 10m. For reliable operations, the thyristor power unit is incorporated with various monitoring components like a thermostatic switch for signaling an overload on the PST unit during welding.
The PST6100.331-L has a protection class of IP 20 that allows for mounting in modular enclosure or installation in customized cabinets with IP 54 protection. The thyristor power unit is maintained regularly by checking if the connections and terminals of all connected cables are intact, replacing the battery regularly, cleaning the air cooler, looking after the cooling water circuit by checking for any leakage, corrosion, or moisture condensation. Use the thyristor power unit in the recommended conditions to avoid malfunctions. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
