Product Description
The PST6100.326-L is a thyristor power unit. Product line to which it belongs is PST 6100 from Bosch. It is used to control welding transformers. Integrated features on the PST6100.326-L include weld timer (CPU based), one slot for type specific I/Os, one slot for retrofitting an optional quality module and one slot for optional field bus programming module. A local PC with the BOS-5000 software can connect to the power unit over V24 protocol for programming, logging, diagnostics and fault display. A host PC running the BOS-5000 software can also connect to the power unit over field bus protocol for programming diagnostics, logging and fault display. The PST6100.326-L is designed for AC resistance welding. Components of an alternating current welding system are weld timer, welding transformer and thyristor power unit.
A thermostatic switch is built-in into the PST6100.326-L and signals any overload on the power unit to the weld timer. Maintenance and installation of the power unit must be performed by skilled electricians in compliance with recommended safety regulations. Power unit malfunction may occur due to incorrect electrical voltage or voltage surge, overheating or current parameters that exceed maximum permitted current. The PST6100.326-L is designed for 400 to 60 Volts AC input and can deliver maximum 130 Amps current. Peak duty cycle of the unit is 50%. Temperature ranges recommended by Bosch for storage and operation are -25 to 70 degrees Celsius and 0 to 55 degrees Celsius. Recommended maximum relative humidity levels for 20 / 40 degrees Celsius are 90% / 50%. The PST6100.326-L is air cooled and its IP 20 rated housing weighs approximately 12.5 kilograms. Bosch recommends installation of the power unit in an IP 54 rated industrial cabinet. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
