The PSI6301.001-W1 is a long-lasting frequency inverter designed by the well-known Bosch Rexroth Indramat automation as part of the PSI frequency inverter series. The products provide operators with improved control over welding processes; they also carry out a separate monitoring function that ensures that all parts of the industrial welding operation are proceeding as expected. This interface is a IP20 protected device; however, unlike other inverters, it has an increased resistance to rust and deterioration due to its reliable aluminum housing unit. The cooling system of this inverter is an integrated water cooling system, which significantly extends the service life of the inverter by maintaining its operation within a permissible range. To save water, operators can have the cooling water of the inverter running only during the weld time.

During the commissioning of the PSI6301.001-W1 frequency inverter, operators should ensure that the electrical installation, auxiliary equipment and Input and output interface of the inverter are constantly checked. The PSI6301.001-W1 inverter does not require intensive maintenance for optimum operation; however, special care must be taken to check connections and terminals for damage, and the water cooling unit must also be appropriately maintained. This inverter can independently detect errors and communicate them to operators by displaying an error message on the connected BOS-5000 operator interface or on the BT Bosch Operator terminal.

The PSI6301.001-W1 frequency inverter belongs to the humidity class F as defined by DIN 40040. At a surface temperature of 20 degrees, its relative humidity should not exceed 90 per cent; this reduces to 50 per cent at a surface temperature of 40 degrees. There is an integrated temperature monitoring system integrated into this interface to provide protection against over-temperature damage.
