Product Description
The PSI6300.108-W1 is a medium frequency inverter manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat to improve industrial welding processes by providing an accurately controlled supply of output voltage and DC welding current. This inverter is built for different types of welding applications, including spot, projecting, manual and seam welding applications. There is a weld timer integrated with this product to function as the CPU; this timer operates together with an integrated power supply unit, a suitable weld transformer with a current sensor and a pneumatically or electrically driven gun with electrodes. The integrated weld timer communicates with higher-level PLC or robot control via I/O signals; it controls the power supply unit to produce a correct welding current and triggers a proportional control valve or a servo motor in order to influence the electrode force.
The PSI6300.108-W1 frequency inverter can be operated in two major welding modes, which include the single spot mode and the seam mode. The single-spot welding mode is appropriate for robotic applications, welding machines, automatic welders and hand tongs. It is also suited for spot, projection and butt welding. On the other hand, the seal welding mode is suitable for all roll seam stations. With the seam mode, operators can pass over welded parts with rolling electrodes, and individual spot welds connect the parts.
The PSI6300.108-W1 frequency inverter features up to 256 different welding programs; each welding program contains all parameters necessary for the exact definition of a weld. The basic parameters in each program include currents that are to be effective in different current blocks, the times that are supposed to run consecutively, and the electrode force. The total weight of this frequency inverter is about 20 kilograms; it also belongs to the IP20 protection category.
