The PSI6200.640-W1 is a 3-phase medium frequency inverter designed for the direct current welding process. This inverter is a product of Bosch Rexroth Indramat; it has a compact housing unit and requires fewer cables for its installation. The input/output interface present on this frequency inverter can support several types of communication systems; there is also a quality module slot prepared for retrofitting. The permissible ambient operation of this frequency inverter is between 0 to about 50 degrees Celsius; during storage, the permissible ambient temperature for this product falls between the range of -25 to about 70 degrees Celsius. The PSI6200.640-W1 frequency inverter operates with an integrated weld timer that provides upstream control, controls the entire process regarding the workpiece, and monitors operation safety. The timer is also responsible for the communication of the inverter with the higher level Programmable Logic Controller.
The PSI6200.640-W1 frequency inverter is built with a liquid cooling system; the liquid used is water, and it provides a more efficient cooling than air blowers. The configuration, diagnosis and general handling of this frequency inverter is done through a PC unit, which is connected to the inverter through the BOS-5000 connection interface. The minimum operation system requirement for the PC unit used is windows 7.
The PSI6200.640-W1 belongs to the relative humidity class F according to DIN 40040, at an operating temperature of 20 degrees Celsius, the maximum relative humidity permissible for this product is 95 per cent. Moisture condensation on this frequency inverter must be prevented. The line voltage required by the PSI6200.640-W1 frequency inverter is between 400 volts to about 480 volts.
