The PSI6100.630-W2 is a medium welding frequency inverter from Bosch Rexroth Indramat to be used for control operation in several industrial welding processes. This inverter is able to produce excellent results when used with industrial machines such as manual welding guns, roll seams, and robotic applications. The development, manufacture and pre-distribution testing of this inverter is done in compliance with the fundamental safety requirements of the EU machine directive; however, it also meets the quality standards all over the world. The actual control over the industrial welding process is done by the weld timer attached to this inverter; this timer is the Central Processing Unit (CPU). The weld timer features the RAM where configuration parameters influencing the operation of the inverter are stored; it is also responsible for the establishment and control of communication with high control levels.
The PSI6100.630-W2 frequency inverter is designed to improve cost efficiency and durability in the servo system. The cost efficiency of the inverter is seen in its characteristic ability to significantly extend the service life of welding electrodes, which can be quickly used up with some other inverters; there is also a compact aluminum housing protecting the internal components of this inverter from harsh and unfavorable environmental conditions. Although this inverter is relevant in different applications, it should always be used in combination with the PSG 3000 welding transformer also produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. This unique combination produces the best results in the servo system.
The PSI6100.630-W2 frequency inverter maintains a faultless and safe functioning in the servo system; however, it still requires a transportation, storage, and installation process that meets standards specified in its documentation. For best operation, this product should be mounted in a vertical position.
