Product Description
The PSI6100.610-W1 is a medium-frequency inverter built to carry out the accurate control of the PSG 3000 inverter used in the direct current resistance welding process. This inverter is a product of Bosch Rexroth Indramat; during operation, it can produce a welding current of between 3 to 20 kiloamperes while maintaining an operation efficiency as high as 90 per cent. For customers that purchase this product, it is easy to integrate it into the servo system as it features an Input/output interface that is compatible with parallel connection; there is also BOS-5000 user interface provided for this product for easy programming, operation, and diagnostics operation by this inverter. The control functionality of this product is separate from its monitoring functionality. The monitoring duties of this inverter are designed to keep a tab on all other parts of the servo system and to ensure that everything functions as expected.
The PSI6100.610-W1 frequency inverter is intended to be used in combination with the PSG 3050 weld transformer; the welding transformer changes alternating current to low voltage high amperage current. The intensity of the welding current provided by this device can be easily controlled by adjusting the pulse width of the product. The ability of this frequency inverter to supply both output voltage and DC welding current helps it provide a more thorough and faster welding control, and it also significantly extends the welding range of the whole operation.
The use of the PSI6100.610-W1 eliminates the influence of inductive resistance on the welding current; it also reduces the iron content and volume required to maintain the performance standard of the welding transformer. The maximum output current provided by this product is about 400 amperes.
