Product Description
Bosch Rexroth is a manufacturer of automation equipment. The company provides hardware and software solutions for industrial motion control challenges.
The PPC-R01.2 is a motion and logic control system that has been designed to operate across multiple axes at a time. This standalone system has the Reco 02 form factor that is used by the company for PLCs, I/O modules, and motion control systems. The system is powered by the VisualMotion GPP 10 firmware that is capable of coordinating motion across multiple axes with complete logic control features. The control unit comes with the LocalReco 02 back-plane bus for data exchange. The device has been designed in compliance with international standards. The Sercos interface, an international standard for real time communication, is used for communication between the control unit and the connected platforms. The control unit can be used for highly technical applications besides routine motion control applications.
The PPC-R01.2 is capable of executing the highly sophisticated task of multiple master electronic line shafting (ELS). The device is also used in robotics extensively. The control unit comes with an optional onboard connection for EtherNet. For motion control programming, motion control management, system diagnostics, and parameterization, the PPC-R01.2 is equipped with the Rexroth VisualMotion Toolkit (VMT). A single control unit is capable of integrating with up to 40 intelligent drives with the Sercos interface. The device supports multiple types of Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) including the BTV04, BTC06, and BTV 05 HMI interfaces. Additionally, different Fieldbus master interfaces can be integrated with the system including the Profibus-DP, Interbus, DeviceNet, and EtherNet/IP. The PPC-R01.2 can also be interfaced with the PLS option card and a Master Encoder Card (EMC).
