Product Description

The NFD04.1-440-120 mains filter is a new generation protective device designed by Rexroth Indramat to increase the service life of industrial drive controllers and power supply units. This device carries out its protective action by preventing the excess electrical energy generated during motor deceleration from reaching the power circuit of the drive controller. The NFD04.1-440-120 mains filter is uniquely designed to allow for combination with shielded motor feedback cable manufactured by Rexroth Indramat, the filter also features and housing unit that meets the IP20 protection class, this means the filter is completely protected from the penetration of solid foreign particles with an external diameter higher than 12 millimeters. However, to ensure optimum protection, the NFD04.1-440-120 should be installed by well-trained personnel into an external cabinet that meets at least the IP56 protection class.

The NFD04.1-440-120 industrial mains filter is about 100 millimeters long, 160 millimeters thick and about 240 millimeters wide. It also weighs about 4.7 kilograms. This choke is designed to be extremely safe for industrial application, however, electrical accidents can occur if the filter is installed and operated according to the instructions stated in the mains filter’s documentation. The heat generated by this device during operation is very small and effectively controlled by natural convection, however, operators should ensure that the filter is installed in a position that will allow for the easy movement of cool air in and out of the device.

The continuous current required by this mains filter for optimum operation is about 120 Amperes, however, it can also work with a current slightly higher. The NFD04.1-440-120 mains choke should not be installed or operated at a height higher than 1000 meters above sea level. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
