Product Description
The Rexroth MTC-R02.1-E1-A2-A2-NN-FW is a powerful miniature SPS with one integrated axis module and three additional module locations. The MTC-R02.1-E1-A2-A2-NN-FW comes with two additional axis modules installed which means that it can control a maximum of 24 drives. Other module types can also be installed on the additional module locations including INTERBUS master module, Profibus-DP master module, Profibus-DP slave module and serial interface module with two RS-232 and two RS-422 interfaces. The Interbus interface enables distributed I/O of up to 4096 inputs and 4096 outputs. The MTC-R02.1-E1-A2-A2-NN-FW module is available without export restrictions. It is part of the MRC200-R systems which are CNC controllers designed for industrial applications. Communication between the components of a MTC200-R systems takes place over an internal local bus which is implemented on an adapter board.
Each SPS including the MTC-R02.1-E1-A2-A2-NN-FW is assigned its own address so that it can be accessed from a programming PC. A serial interface is also available for connecting to a printer, visualization unit or read-write memory. The module communicates with drives over the SERCOS interface and fiber optic cables. A maximum of eight drives can be connected to a fiber optic loop. The MTC-R02.1-E1-A2-A2-NN-FW may lose data if it is stored for more than 6 months. The rechargeable battery on the module starts to charge when the module is put into operation. The backup time for a battery charged for 1 hour is approximately 100 hours. The backup time for a fully battery charged for 50 hours is approximately 5000 hours. The typical service life of a battery is between 7 and 10 years. The MTC-R02.1-E1-A2-A2-NN-FW is installed inside an RMB02.2 rack which is available in a 2-slot and a 4-slot version. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
