The MTC-P01.2-M2-A2-A2-A2-FW is a CNC-based controller unit by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and designed specifically for installation in an Industry-grade PC. This controller is an integral component of the MTC 200 product line, and it features a base unit with a CNC processor system and an embedded axis processor. A maximum of 8 drive modules can be connected to the MTC-P01.2-M2-A2-A2-A2-FW via its SERCOS interface using fibre optics. Controller-drive communications are also executed via the SERCOS interface.
The MTC-P01.2-M2-A2-A2-A2-FW features a power failure diagnostics unit, battery, NC--controlled watchdog, PC104-Bus and Indramat local bus. It comes with three (3) extra module location and all three are compatible with axis processor modules and co-processor. Additionally, module location 2 and 3 must compulsorily contain a module. The MTC-P01.2-M2-A2-A2-A2-FW perform an internal communication with corresponding Industry PC via a Standard ISA Bus. Similarly, the power and voltage supply of this CNC-based MTC-P controller is routed through the ISA Bus.
The MTC-P01.2-M2-A2-A2-A2-FW comes designed with a diagnostics protocol for detecting power and connection failure. This protocol rapidly sends a logical interpretation of the power failure to the processor so as to preserve relevant parameters and data, in the advent of a restart. The MTC-P01.2-M2-A2-A2-A2-FW CNC controller permits the use of SERCOS interface compatible drives, and the connection between these two components is established through fibre optics cables. The adopted connection topology is the loop type, as per IEC 1491, and a maximum connection of 8 drives can be achieved per loop. The housing/enclosure model of this unit is best suited for industry PC. Also, the compatible firmware of the MTC-P01.2-M2-A2-A2-A2-FW must be order in a separate purchase.
