The MTC-P01.2-M1-NN-NN-NN-FW EP is a line 1 and design type 2 CNC control from Rexroth Indramat. By design, this MTC-P01 model consists of an integrated axis processor and a CNC processor system. It can allow up to 8 drive connections via a SERCOS interface and an expansion can be achieved with 3 extra axis processor modules. An expansion ensures that the MTC-P01.2-M1-NN-NN-NN-FW EP can attain the highest level of control for 32 drives, spread over 7 processors. In combination with PLC controls (MTS-P), both units form a flexible and compact machine tool control. In general, the dimensions of this unit are 17.5 mm by 124 mm by 280 mm.
The MTC-P01.2-M1-NN-NN-NN-FW EP leverages a CNC user terminal with export restrictions, and its application memory is 1 MB RAM. The 3 additional module slots on this unit are empty. Its protection category is IP 20, as per IEC 529, and its maximum environmental temperature during operation is within the range of 5 – 45 degrees Celsius. In transport and storage scenarios, the minimum permissible temperature level is – 20 degrees C and the maximum limit is 60 degrees C. The MTC-P01.2-M1-NN-NN-NN-FW EP can store different types of data including machine parameters, tool data, machine data, NC cycle packages, variables, etc. A BTV 30 or BTV 20 custom terminal display can be integrated with MTC-P units to form a standardized MTC200 control unit. In addition, MTC-P modules can connect with MTS-P modules through a 50-way ribbon cable. It boasts a power failure detection mechanism that quickly interprets a failure scenario to save relevant machine data upon restart.
