The Rexroth MTC-P01.2-E2-A2-A2-NN-FW EP is a CNC controller. It contains one integrated axis processor and two additional axis processors for drive control. The total number of drives which can be controlled from the MTC-P01.2-E2-A2-A2-NN-FW EP are 24. The module is available without export restrictions which means that there is no restriction on the number of axes which can interpolate with each other. The communication between the module and drives takes place over SERCOS fiber interfaces. A single fiber loop can be used for communication with up to 8 drives. Therefore three fiber loops will be required for communication between 24 drives and the MTC-P01.2-E2-A2-A2-NN-FW EP module. The module comes in a ISA bus module format and is designed for installation in Rexroth industrial PCs from the BTV 20/30 product lines. Amount of RAM on the module is 1 Megabyte.
Firmware for the module needs to be ordered as a separate subposition. The MTC-P01.2-E2-A2- A2-NN-FW EP features a power fail function which allows the processor to be able to save relevant data for a restart in the event of a power failure. The SEROCS fiber interface can transmit at 640 to 675 nanometer wavelengths at ambient temperatures ranging from 0 to 55 degrees Celsius. The spectral bandwidth for the transmitter is less than 30 nanometers at 25 degrees Celsius. At optical low level, the maximum transmission power is -28.2 dBm, and at optical high level the maximum transmission power is -2.5 dBm. The maximum allowed attenuation over the fiber optic link is 12.5 dB. For the receiver, the maximum input power for optical low level is -31 dBm and the maximum input power at optical high level is -5 dBm. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
