The Rexroth MTC-P01.1-M1-A1-A1-A1-NN-FW is an Indramat MTC 200 series CNC controller. The module has an integrated axis processor for drive control and occupies a single slot on the ISA bus. Two additional axis processors on the module enable control of additional drives and take up two additional slots on the ISA bus. To ensure that the module supports features that match customer requirements, Rexroth requires that the firmware for the module be ordered as a separate subposition. RAM available on the system has a capacity of 1 Megabyte. The MTC-P01.1-M1-A1-A1-A1-NN-FW comes with export restrictions. Each axis processor has its corresponding SERCOS interface on the module through which the module processor communicates with drives. The SERCOS interface is comprised of a fiber optic transmitter and a fiber optic receiver. Each fiber loop which terminates on a SERCOS interface loops through a maximum of 8 drives.
Specifications for the fiber optic transmitter include maximum transmission power at optical low level of -28.2 dBm, minimum transmission power at high level of -7.5 dBm and maximum transmission power at optical high level of -3.5 dBm. Peak wavelength of the transmission diode is 650 to 675 nanometers at 0 to 55 degrees Celsius. The spectral bandwidth is less than 30 nanometers at 25 degrees Celsius. Specifications for the fiber optics receiver include maximum input power for optical low level of -31.2 dBm, minimum input power for optical high level of -20 dBm and maximum input power for optical high level of -5 dBm. The maximum supported attenuation of the transmission link is 12.5 dB. Glass and plastic fiber cables can be used with SERCOS interface on the MTC-P01.1-M1-A1-A1-A1-NN-FW. Glass fiber optic cables support 500 meter distances and plastic fiber optic cables support 40 meter distances. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
