The Rexroth MTC-P01.1-E1-A1-NN-NN-NN-FW is an Indramat MTC 200 CNC controller. It is available without export restrictions. Capacity of random access memory (RAM) on the module is 1 Megabyte. Rexroth requires that the firmware for the module be ordered separately. The MTC-P01.1-E1-A1-NN-NN-NN-FW is in an ISA card format and is designed for installation on a rugged PC suited for industrial applications. The module gets the required DC power from the ISA bus. The module communicates with the industrial PC via the ISA bus. A single free slot on the ISA bus is required for module installation. In addition to the integrated axis processor on the base unit, the MTC-P01.1-E1-A1-NN-NN-NN-FW comes with an additional axis processor which requires a separate slot on the ISA bus. The base unit and the additional axis processor have their own separate SERCOS interfaces for drive communication.

The addresses for the module should be set before it is installed. The address configuration is done through DIP switches. Details regarding the DIP switch settings are available in the product documentation. Rexroth recommends installation of the MTC-P01.1-E1-A1-NN-NN-NN-FW such that the module is fixed and cannot work loose due to shock or vibrations. The on-board battery can get discharged if the module is left unused for more than 6 months, leading to loss of tool data, machine data, zero offsets, NC program packages and variables. The battery on the MTC-P01.1-E1-A1-NN-NN-NN-FW module starts to charge when the module is commissioned. The battery provides approximately 100 hours of backup time with 1 hour of charging time and approximately 5000 hours of backup time with 50 hours of charging time. The MTC-P01.1-E1-A1-NN-NN-NN-FW module features a power fail connection which enables saving of relevant data in case of a power failure. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
