Product Description
The MSS382D-0020-FA-N0CN-NNNN is a versatile three-phase synchronous stator that features an axially mounted cooling jacket. As part of the IndraDyn H product series, this stator works well with the MRS product family to deliver high torque capabilities at impressive speeds. IndraDyn H motors by Rexroth Bosch are suitable for the most demanding applications. The MSS382D-0020-FA-N0CN-NNNN has no blocking brake and motor encoder. It is intended to serve as a main driver for spindle applications. With a 0020 winding, this machine can maintain a synchronous speed of 200 rpm at rated conditions.
Three-phase synchronous motors rely on electromagnetic induction to convert electricity into motion. The stator with a three-phase winding generates the changing magnetic field that induces the rotor to move. Very often, the rotor is equipped with magnetic materials, allowing it to rotate along with the generated magnetic field. For synchronous motors like those in the IndraDyn H series, the rotor is excited by a DC supply, which allows it to run in sync with the stator’s field. The MSS382D-0020-FA-N0CN-NNNN, which is a stator, provides the changing magnetic field that induces motion to a suitable MRS rotor. Particularly, the best rotor for the MSS382D-0020-FA-N0CN-NNNN is the MRS382D rotor, also under the IndraDyn H series.
During normal excitation conditions, the MSS382D-0020-FA-N0CN-NNNN can consistently provide a synchronous speed of 200 rpm and a torque of 1775 Nm. For motors, the speed and torque have an inverse relationship. Since the MSS382D-0020-FA-N0CN-NNNN is a relatively large stator, weighing about 242.7 kilograms, it is best for very high torque applications. At most, this stator can achieve a maximum torque of 3700 Nm safely. As a trade-off, however, the maximum speed possible for this stator model is capped at 800 rpm.
