Product Description
The MSS312B-0035-FA-N0CN-NNNN is a versatile IndaDyn H product designed and developed by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for high-speed spindle motors. This product is a stator unit, which is the stationary component of a three-phase motor. In an AC motor, the stator provides the variable magnetic field, which induces the rotor to move. Normally, the rotor is equipped with a permanent magnet, which allows it to move as the magnetic field from the stator changes. However, if no DC excitation is present, the rotor will always run at a lesser speed. For this reason, synchronous motors need a DC bus voltage that allows the rotor to move in unison with the stator’s magnetic field.
Based on official documentation, the MSS312B-0035-FA-N0CN-NNNN achieves a synchronous speed of 350 rpm during rated conditions, assuming an excitation voltage of 540 VDC. When used with a higher DC bus voltage, particularly at 750 VDC, this machine can induce a magnetic field with a velocity of 1500 rpm. At the rated speed, the three-phase winding draws 62.5 amperes, and the corresponding power output is 23.8 kW. For high-torque applications, the maximum torque achievable by this product is 1550 Nm, which is more than twice the rated torque.
The MSS312B-0035-FA-N0CN-NNNN is a relatively large stator that weighs 128.7 kilograms without the rotor and other accessories. This stator uses a liquid cooling system that allows it to run continuously with little possibility of overheating. This cooling system is integrated in the stator and comes with an axially connected cable. To achieve the best performance for this stator, it is recommended to use it with Rexroth Bosch’s MRS312B rotor. This MSS stator can be purchased from Wake Industrial with a special one-year warranty.
