Product Description
The MSS272F-0040-FA-N0CN-NNNN is an IndraDyn H stator designed by Rexroth Bosch AG for its MRS rotors. Boasting a larger 272 frame, this stator measures 300 mm by 465 mm by 135 mm and weighs 134.2 kilograms. For motors of this size, it is best to use hoisting equipment such as cranes or pulleys for proper installation. Manually lifting this stator would not only require more manpower but would endanger the lives of the personnel involved. During operation, an external temperature sensor monitors the winding temperature in the stator. To facilitate cooling, the MSS272F-0040-FA-N0CN-NNNN uses its integrated liquid cooling system. Unlike other IndraDyn models, IndraDyn H products integrate the cooling system within the stator, saving installation space.
During nameplate conditions, the MSS272F-0040-FA-N0CN-NNNN can provide a consistent synchronous speed of 400 rpm and a torque output of 650 Nm. Compared to other Rexroth motors, IndraDyn H motors are generally appropriate for high-torque applications. Furthermore, IndraDyn H motors can also deliver high torque outputs at generally high driving speeds. For the MSS272F-0040-FA-N0CN-NNNN, however, the maximum driving speed that can be achieved safely is 1800 rpm. At this speed, the stator can still induce enough force to drive loads at the rated torque. Impressively, this product can maintain a maximum torque of 1500 Nm during operation.
Based on its nameplate, the MSS272F-0040-FA-N0CN-NNNN has a rated power and current of 27.2 kW and 71 A, respectively. During starting or transient conditions, motors usually experience a spike current, which is generally several times higher in magnitude than the rated current. At most, the stator’s winding can tolerate a maximum current of 200 amperes briefly. When paired with an appropriate MRS rotor, this machine has a rotor inertia of 0.403 kg(m^2).
