Product Description
The MSS162B-0200-FR-N0CN-NNNN is a balanced three-phase stator manufactured and released under Rexroth Bosch AG’s IndraDyn H product family. With an integrated cooling system, this stator uses a liquid coolant to regulate the winding temperature during operation. For AC motors, the temperature of the winding must be kept at tolerable temperatures since high temperatures will increase the winding resistance and decrease efficiency. Furthermore, at a certain threshold, it is possible for the conductors in the winding to overheat and exhibit faults, which are dangerous both for the equipment and surrounding personnel. For this reason, the MSS162B-0200-FR-N0CN-NNNN comes with a built-in temperature sensor and an external KTY84 sensor.
During rated conditions, this three-phase stator can induce a shaft speed of 2000 rpm. Depending on the DC bus voltage applied, the MSS162B-0200-FR-N0CN-NNNN may achieve a peak speed between 15,500 and 16,500 rpm. Like other MSS162B stators, this product can deliver a rated and maximum torque of 50 Nm and 115 Nm, respectively. At the rated torque output, the corresponding shaft power approaches 20.9 kilowatts at a lagging power factor. For AC motors, the power factor is usually lagging because the stator itself is an inductive load. Although motors are considered inductive loads, the power factor may be improved by connecting condensers or capacitive loads.
To ensure safe operation of the MSS162B-0200-FR-N0CN-NNNN, the ambient temperature must not exceed 40 degrees Celsius. With its cooling type, the MSS162B-0200-FR-N0CN-NNNN benefits from a short thermal time constant of 3.5 minutes. With this time constant, the stator can achieve steady-state temperature for as low as 6 minutes. The recommended cooling time for this stator after continuous operation is five times the thermal time constant, or about 18 minutes.
