The MSM IndraDyn S motors by Rexroth Indramat Group feature a compact design, light weight frame, and promise to deliver high-accuracy performance. MSM synchronous motors are meant for Rexroth IndraDrive systems. There are quite a few sub-groups of the MSM series distinguished on the basis of frame sizes and frame length.

The MSM030B-0300-NN-M0-CC0 synchronous motor by Rexroth Indramat has a mass of nearly 0.82 kilograms. This lightweight motor features four pole pairs and can reach the top speed of 5,000 RPMs. At standstill position, the MSM030B-0300-NN-M0-CC0 produces continuous torque of 0.64 Nm while generating continuous current of 1.60 amperes. When the motor operates at its peak, the torque maximizes at 1.91 Nm with current peaking at 4.90 amps. The 4-pole synchronous motor by Rexroth offers a winding resistance of 6.10 ohms with 14.700 mH of inductance. To keep operating smoothly, the IndraDyn synchronous motor requires a constant voltage of 24.5 volts/minute. The winding is strong enough to keep the ambient temperature below 40 degree Celsius, however, it can tolerate higher temperature as well. The 4 pole synchronous motor meets the criteria of insulation class 130. 

The MSM030B-0300-NN-M0-CC0 features durable construction. Its housing design has got IP54 protection to guard against dust and dirt. Moreover, the only cooling option for the MSM030B-0300-NN-M0-CC0 motor is via natural convection. This cooling mode also meets the IC00 standard. The MSM IndraDyn S motor consists of multi-turn absolute encoder that ensures 17 + 16bit resolution. The multi-turn optical encoder has a top speed of 6,000 RPM.  The electrical connection can be made via cable tail.
