The MSM019B-0300-NN-M5-MH1 MSM motor manufactured by Bosch Rexroth is designed for use in single or multiple-axis drive and control applications. The servo motor components except the motor are mounted into a control cabinet. When designing the control cabinet, always consider the technical data of the motor components to determine the size of the cabinet, the thermal features such as the power dissipation of the individual motor components, and the mechanical dimensions (dimension sheets, etc.). Mounting of the spindle motor, if used with an auxiliary braking resistor should be in such a way that their longitudinal axis match with the direction of convection. The servo motor is used with drive controllers available with varying drive power and sold as accessories.
The MSM019B-0300-NN-M5-MH1 is used with an encoder system (motor encoder) that signals the drive to control the speed and position of the motors rotor. The encoder system is integrated with a data memory where the name of the motor type, the control loop, and the motor parameters are stored. The drive controller connected to the motor can read the data hence ensuring quick startup and easy adjustment between the drive controller and the motor without damaging or causing any risk to the motor.
The MSM motor operates well under ambient temperatures of 0°C to 40 °C and installation altitude of 1000 m.
