Product Description
Bosch Rexroth designed its MSK synchronous motors to suit several applications. These powerful motors with high torque density are used as rotary main and servo drive motors. They can also be upgraded by the addition of other units to extend their functionalities. Their typical applications include metal forming machines, machine tools, and robotics.
The MSK101E-0200-FN-S1-AP2-NNNN is one of the compact, maintenance-free servo motors in the MSK series by Bosch Rexroth. Its single-turn absolute encoder eliminates the need for separate incremental encoders and has a system accuracy of ±80 angular seconds. This encoder determines the absolute, indirect position of the motor within one mechanical motor rotation. It has a data memory where parameters like the motor type name and its control loop parameters are stored to ensure its time-saving bootup. The nominal seed of this MSK model is 2,000 revolutions per minute, and its output shaft is one with a keyway per DIN 6885 and a shaft sealing ring. This shaft allows the form-fitting transmission of torque with constant direction and has low shaft-hub connection requirements.
An electrically released holding brake of 70Nm holding torque preserves the servo axis of the MSK101E-0200-FN-S1-AP2-NNNN at a standstill after the machine is disconnected from power. The motor is cooled via liquid cooling, where a coolant like water removes the heat by transferring it via a downstream heat exchanger to the ambient air. Its sealed housing with an IP 65 protection rating according to EN 60529 is coated in a black (RAL9005) 2K epoxy resin coating based on epoxy polyamide resin in water. This protective coating is resistant to current mineral oils, seawater, dilute acids/alkaline solutions, and sewage.
