Bosch Rexroth is the manufacturer of the MSK synchronous motor series. They are powerful servo motors with extensive functionality, and their areas of function include machine tools, printing and paper processing machines, food and packaging machines, metal forming machines, and robotics. The MSK motors serve as rotary main and servo drive motors. There are different models in the series, which differ based on their interfaces and driving powers. This enables users to select the ideal motor for their application-specific needs.

The motor encoder of the MSK101E-0200-FN-S1-AG0-NNAN is a single-turn optical encoder with the Hiperface interface and 128 increments. It has a system accuracy of ±80 angular seconds. The encoder displays a high level of precision and permits the motor’s absolute, indirect position evaluation within one mechanical motor rotation. The Ingress protection rating of this motor is IP 65 according to DIN EN 60529. Hence, the motor has complete shock protection and is protected against the penetration of dust and damage from water from different directions.

Liquid cooling is the ideal heat dissipation method for the MSK101E-0200-FN-S1-AG0-NNAN. This makes it suitable for operations with extreme loads, such as start-stop operations with high repetitive frequencies.  This model is equipped with a plain shaft with a shaft sealing ring, allowing the motor to run quietly with a non-positive shaft hub connection and zero backlash. Its housing is coated with a black RAL 9005 2K epoxy resin coating based on epoxy polyamide resin in water. It protects the motor against damage from dilute acids, alkaline solutions, water, seawater, sewage, and current mineral oils. The operation of this motor should be at a maximum ambient temperature of 40°C and relative humidity of 95%.
