The Bosch MSK101D-0300-NN-M1-LG0-NNNN is a servo motor. It is part of the MSK synchronous motor series from Bosch Rexroth. The motor has a plain shaft with a sealing ring. The seal on the shaft serves two purposes: its prevents oil leakage and protects the motor from dust and moisture ingress. The motor has a sealed housing with IP65 protection rating. This rating means that the motor is dustproof and is safe from water directed at the motor from low-pressure jets. The motor housing is designed for natural convection. The ambient temperature around the working motor should range from 0 to 40 degrees Celsius. At higher ambient temperatures the internal motor temperature can reach critical levels leading to malfunction and failure. Temperatures higher than 40 degrees Celsius also lead to motor output derating.

The MSK101D-0300-NN-M1-LG0-NNNN motor includes an optical multiturn encoder. The encoder supports Hiperface. A holding brake is not available on the servo motor. The motor gets power from a drive controller. The power cable terminates on a power socket located on the left side of the motor housing. Upon delivery, MSK motors are packed in cartons or wooden boxes. Packing units on pallets are secured with straps. The motor shaft and plug connections are provided with protective sleeves ex-works. The protective sleeves should only be removed immediately before starting assembly. All MSK motors are subjected to a standardized test procedure, and high voltage tests by the customer are not necessary. Repeated high-voltage tests can damage motors and components. Each motor has an individual type plate containing the device designation and technical information. In addition, a second type plate is also attached to the delivered motor.
