Product Description
Bosch Rexroth continues to simplify work and improve efficiency for manufacturers worldwide by developing state-of-the-art drive components. One of these is the MSK synchronous motor, a product in the IndraDyn S series characterized by a compact size, high torque density, and precise encoder systems.
The MSK101D-0300-FN-S1-LP0-NNNN is a Bosch Rexroth servo motor with four pole pairs and a rotor of 0.00932 kgm2 moment of inertia. It features an absolute, single-turn encoder with the Hiperface interface and a data memory where relevant motor parameters are stored. As a result, the motor’s bootup is faster, and it can adapt safer to its drive controller. This encoder records its absolute, indirect position recording within one mechanical motor rotation and does this using the optical measurement method. It also has a system accuracy of ±80 angular seconds and eliminates the need for separate incremental encoders. The motor is IP 65-rated per EN 60529, meaning that it is touch-proof, dustproof, and impermeable to water jet sprays from all directions.
A KTY84 thermal sensor protects the MSK101D-0300-FN-S1-LP0-NNNN from damage due to thermal overload. The sensor is built into its windings and is paired with an independent temperature monitoring system called the temperature model for enhanced protection. To ensure form-fitting torque transmission, the motor’s shaft is an output shaft with a keyway per DIN 6885. It also has a shaft sealing ring that prevents oils and other fluids from entering the motor through the shaft. Heat dissipation in this MSK model is achieved via liquid cooling; hence it is ideal for extreme loads like continuous start-stop operations with high rates of repetition. Its bearing lifetime is 30,000 operating hours within safe limits.
