Product Description
All Bosch Rexroth’s products are notable for their high performance and operational reliability. The MSK servo motors by the engineering giant are flexible units used as rotary main and servo drive motors. They are mostly used for applications like robotics, metal forming machines, and machine tools.
The MSK101D-0300-FN-M1-AG2-NNC1 is a Bosch Rexroth servo motor in the MSK series. It is a liquid-cooled model with a maximum speed of 4,600 revolutions per minute and maximum torque of 160.0Nm. Its cooling mechanism involves a coolant that absorbs the heat generated during its operation and is released via a downstream heat exchanger to the ambient air. The motor’s housing is sealed and will not admit solid extrinsic objects or water jet sprays from different directions. Hence, it has an Ingress Protection rating of IP 65 according to EN 60529. This housing is coated in a varnish that consists of a black (RAL9005) 2K epoxy resin coating based on epoxy polyamide resin in water. The coat is resistant to dilute acids, alkaline solutions, current mineral oils, sewage, and seawater.
A KTY84 thermal sensor protects the MSK101D-0300-FN-M1-AG2-NNC1 from damage due to thermal overload. It is located in the stator winding of the motor and works with the temperature model to carry out this protective function. The encoder in the MSK model is an optical encoder with the multiturn configuration and the Hiperface interface. Its system accuracy is ±80 angular seconds, and it detects the motor’s absolute, indirect position within 4,096 mechanical rotations. It also has a data memory where the motor type name and control loop parameters are stored to quicken its start-up and safe adaptation to its drive controller.
