Product Description
Bosch Rexroth designed the MSK motors to solve basic automation challenges. However, they are suitable for applications beyond the typical servo motor standard. This is because they can be fitted with additional options to suit application-specific use. These servo motors are mostly used in metal forming machines, machine tools, and food processing and packaging machines.
The MSK101D-0202-NN-S3-FG0-NPNN is one of the MSK synchronous servo motors in the IndraDyn S series by Bosch Rexroth. It comes with a single-turn encoder with the Hiperface interface, whose data memory feature reduces the motor’s start-up time. Important information like the motor type name and its control loop parameters are stored in this data memory, and it also ensures its safe adaptation to the drive controller. The encoder uses the optical measurement principle to guarantee high precision. Due to the motor’s housing design, it supports cooling by natural convection, where heat is exchanged with the ambient air due to temperature differences. This housing is also sealed and has an IP 65 Ingress Protection rating, indicating that it is touch-proof and impermeable to multidirectional water jets.
Protecting the MSK101D-0202-NN-S3-FG0-NPNN from irreversible damage due to thermal overload is a KTY84 type thermal sensor. It is aided by the temperature sensor, an independently operated temperature monitoring system. This MSK model’s output shaft is a plain type with a shaft sealing ring to provide a non-positive shaft hub connection with zero backlash. Its sealing ring is designed per DIN 3760 – design A and prevents fluids from entering the motor through the shaft. The motor’s housing coat is a black (RAL9005) 2K resin coating based on epoxy polyamide resin in water, resistant to dilute acids and seawater.
