Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s MSK family of servo motors is marked by their wide power spectrum and narrow size increments. They are compact drive units in the Rexroth IndraDrive drive system that function as rotary main and servo drive motors. Their applications include robotics, metal-forming machines, and machine tools.
The MSK101D-0200-NN-S1-LG0-NNNN is one of the synchronous servo motors in the Bosch Rexroth MSK series. It is a self-cooling type where natural convection is the designated mechanism for heat elimination. In this cooling system, the heat generated during the motor’s operation is dissipated to the ambient air or the outside walls of the machine. There are two systems that monitor its temperature: the temperature model and the temperature sensor. This sensor is the KTY84 type, built into the stator to trigger protective actions. The servo motor has four pole pairs and reaches a maximum speed of 3,400 revolutions per minute. Its maximum torque is 160.0Nm, while its rotor’s moment of inertia is 0.00932 kgm2.
Operating the MSK101D-0200-NN-S1-LG0-NNNN without the risk of damage is possible due to its sealed housing. It meets the requirement of the IP 65 Ingress Protection rating according to EN 60529 as it is dust-proof, touch-proof, and impervious to water jet sprays. The housing is also covered with a varnish consisting of a black (RAL9005) 2K epoxy resin coating based on epoxy polyamide resin in water. This coat is resistant to current mineral oils, sewage, seawater, and dilute acids. With the optical single-turn encoder with Hiperface in the motor, its precise location can be determined. The encoder detects the absolute, indirect position within one mechanical rotation and has a system accuracy of ±80 angular seconds.
