Bosch Rexroth’s MSK motors are a group of synchronous servo motors in its Rexroth IndraDrive drive system. They have a compact build, high torque density, and precise encoder systems. Some of their typical applications include robotics, machine tools, and metal forming machines.

The MSK101C-0200-NN-M1-LG2-NNNN is a servo motor in the MSK series with a maximum speed of 3,300 revolutions per minute. It features a plain output shaft, providing a non-positive shaft-hub connection with zero backlash and quiet running. There is a shaft sealing ring designed according to DIN 3760 – design A in the shaft to prevent fluids from entering the motor through this shaft. The servo motor’s permissible maximum current is 67.1A, and it generates a maximum torque of 110.0Nm. It also has four pole pairs and is cooled via natural convection. Thanks to its sealed housing, it is safe for use in harsh environmental conditions. Its Ingress Protection rating is IP 65 per EN 60529, indicating that it is touch-proof, dustproof, and safe from water jet sprays from different directions.

A temperature sensor of the KTY84 type is built into the stator of the MSK101C-0200-NN-M1-LG2-NNNN to protect it from irreversible damage due to thermal overload. It also has the temperature model, another independent temperature monitoring system. The servo motor’s integrated encoder system comprises an optical encoder with the multiturn configuration and Hiperface interface. It detects the motor’s absolute, indirect position within 4,096 mechanical rotations and replaces separate absolute value encoders. This encoder’s system accuracy is ±80 angular seconds, and it retains the absolute position of the axis even after a switch-off. The permissible maximum ambient temperature for operating the motor is 40oC.
