Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s MSK servo motors are high-performance units in its Rexroth IndraDrive drive system. They are also flexible, supporting the addition of other units to allow users to obtain application-specific results. They are used in machine tools, paper processing and printing machines, and robotics.
The MSK101C-0200-FN-M1-BG0-NNNN is a model of the MSK synchronous servo motors designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It has a compact build and high torque density with a precise multiturn optical encoder. This encoder detects its absolute, indirect position within 4,096 mechanical motor rotations and has a system accuracy of ±80 angular seconds. Its data memory aids the motor’s rapid startup as it stores parameters like its type name and control loop parameters. With this encoder version, the absolute position of the axis is retained even after a switch-off. The servo motor’s Ingress Protection rating is IP 65 according to EN 60529, indicating that it is touch-proof, dustproof, and impervious to multidirectional water jet sprays.
Operating the MSK101C-0200-FN-M1-BG0-NNNN under harsh environmental conditions can be done without the risk of damage thanks to its sealed housing. It also has a KTY84 thermal sensor built into its stator to monitor its temperature and prevent damage due to thermal overload. Another temperature monitoring system with a similar function in the motor is the temperature model. This MSK model is cooled via liquid cooling, where a coolant absorbs the heat generated. It is released via a downstream heat exchanger to the ambient air. The cooling mechanism makes the motor suitable for extreme loads like continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates. It should be installed at a maximum height of 1,000m above mean sea level.
