Product Description
One reason why Bosch Rexroth is reckoned as an engineering giant is its vast product portfolio. It is composed of high-quality drive and motion control units, including servo motors and drive controllers. A family of servo motors by this manufacturer is the MSK series.
The MSK100D-0350-NN-S1-AP0-NSNN is a Bosch Rexroth servo motor in the MSK series of synchronous motors. Its single-turn optical encoder with Hiperface eliminates the need for a separate incremental encoder and detects its absolute, indirect position within one mechanical motor rotation. This encoder has a system accuracy of ±80 angular seconds and a data memory where the motor parameters are stored. These parameters include the motor type name and control loop parameters, ensuring its rapid startup and safe adjustment to the drive controller. Like other MSK models, the motor is protected from overheating by a KTY84 thermal sensor in its stator and another system called the temperature model.
Heat is dissipated from the MSK100D-0350-NN-S1-AP0-NSNN via natural convection, where a temperature gradient facilitates heat exchange with the ambient air. The servo motor can be operated risk-free in harsh environmental conditions since its housing is sealed and has an IP 65 Ingress Protection rating per EN 60529. It is coated with a varnish consisting of a black (RAL9005) 2K epoxy resin coating based on epoxy polyamide resin in water. This protects it from dilute acids, alkaline solutions, current mineral oils, sewage, and water. With the varnish, there is also limited resistance to hydraulic oils and organic solvents. The motor’s output shaft is the type with a keyway per DIN 6885-1 and a shaft sealing ring. Its maximum speed is 3,000 revolutions per minute.
