Product Description
High-performance drive systems are the result of combining Bosch Rexroth’s powerful MSK motors with its IndraDrive control units. The compact synchronous servo motors can be upgraded to suit specific applications thanks to their flexibility. They are commonly used in machine tools and metal-forming machines.
The MSK100D-0300-NN-S2-BG0-RNNN is a servo motor of the MSK series in Bosch Rexroth’s IndraDyn S family. It is equipped with a plain output shaft; hence, a non-positive shaft-hub connection with zero backlash and quiet running is guaranteed. A shaft sealing ring is present in this model to protect it from fluid penetration through the shaft. This shaft sealing ring is designed in line with DIN 3760 – design A. The motor’s single-turn encoder comes with the EnDat 2.1 interface and has a system accuracy of ±20 angular seconds. It records the motor’s absolute, indirect position within one mechanical motor rotation, eliminating the need for a separate incremental encoder. Since it uses the optical measuring method, high-quality precision is assured.
A KTY84 thermal sensor monitors the temperature of the MSK100D-0300-NN-S2-BG0-RNNN to prevent damage due to thermal overload. The servo motor has another temperature monitoring system called the temperature model. It has four pole pairs and reaches a maximum speed of 3,000 revolutions per minute. Heat is dissipated from the MSK model via natural convection, where heat is transferred to the ambient air and the walls of the machine construction. Its housing is sealed, having an Ingress Protection rating of IP 65 according to EN 60529. This means it is impervious to water jets and solid external objects. Hence, the motor can be operated in harsh environmental conditions without the risk of damage.
