Product Description
Combined with IndraDrive control units, the servo motors of the MSK series form flexible high-performance drive systems for various drive applications. They are synchronous motors with a compact build and high torque density. Their typical applications include machine tools and metal-forming machines.
The MSK100D-0300-NN-S2-AP2-RNNN is a self-cooling servo motor in the MSK series designed by Bosch Rexroth. It features an optical, single-turn encoder with the EnDat 2.1 interface and a system accuracy of ±20 angular seconds. There is a data memory in the encoder that stores the motor type name and control loop parameters; hence, its startup time is reduced and it can safely adapt to its drive controller. It eliminates the need for a separate incremental encoder and records the motor’s absolute, indirect position within one mechanical motor rotation. The MSK motor has a design with increased concentricity and has an Ingress Protection rating of IP 65 according to EN 60529. This indicates that it will not admit solid extrinsic objects, including dust, and water jets sprayed at it from different directions.
There are two systems designed to monitor the temperature of the MSK100D-0300-NN-S2-AP2-RNNN: the thermal sensor and the temperature model. The thermal sensor is the KTY84 type in the stator and it uses threshold values of 140°C and 150°C. To protect the motor from water, sewage, current mineral oils, and dilute acid and alkaline solutions, it is coated with a black (RAL9005) 2K epoxy resin coating based on epoxy polyamide resin in water. It is cooled by natural convection where the heat generated during the motor’s operation is exchanged with the ambient air and transferred to the walls of the machine construction by conduction.
