The MSK100C-0450-NN-S1-BP2-NNNN is a Bosch MSK series industrial servo motor. It is deployed in combination with a drive controller for applications such as metal-forming machines, robotics and printing machines. The drive controller supplies electrical power for the motor. The drive controller also controls motor parameters such as speed and torque. The power cable from the controller connects to a power socket on side B of the housing. The MSK100C-0450-NN-S1-BP2-NNNN includes a sensor known as an encoder. The encoder on the MSK100C-0450-NN-S1-BP2-NNNN is a singleturn optical device with Hiperface support. The function of the encoder is to measure motor speed, torque and position. The motor sends these measurements, known as feedback, to the controller via a separate feedback cable. Both the cable sockets on the MSK100C-0450-NN-S1-BP2-NNNN motor are sealed. The motor housing is also sealed.
The shaft on the MSK100C-0450-NN-S1-BP2-NNNN motor also includes a seal. As a result, the motor is safe from dust and low-pressure water jets and complies with IP65 protection rating according to EN 60034-5. The motor is well-suited to use in adverse operating conditions. The ambient temperature recommended by Bosch for motor operation is 0 to 40 degrees Celsius. The motor output derates at temperatures that lie between 40 and 55 degrees Celsius. The maximum output derating at 55 degrees Celsius is 20%. Bosch does not permit use of the MSK100C-0450-NN-S1-BP2-NNNN at temperatures that exceed 55 degrees Celsius. The motor has a standard housing and includes an optional holding brake. The holding torque of the electrically-releasing holding brake is 70 Nm. Voltage rating of the holding brake is 24 Volts DC. Bosch recommends that only trained and qualified professionals should install the motor.
