Product Description
The Bosch MSK100C-0300-NN-M2-BG0-RNNN is a digital synchronous servo motor. It works with a wide range of Bosch drive controllers. The motor-controller combination is known as a servo system. Servo systems with MSK motors are used for a range of industrial applications that include robotics, paper processing machines and packaging machines. The main components of a MSK motor are the stator, the rotor, bearings, shaft, an encoder, and an optional holding brake. The MSK100C-0300-NN-M2-BG0-RNNN motor does not feature the optional holding brake. There are two options for the motor shaft: smooth and with keyway. The shaft on the MSK100C-0300-NN-M2-BG0-RNNN motor is smooth. The shaft includes a shaft seal. The seal prevents ingress of contaminants such as dust and moisture. It also prevents leakage of oil from the motor and in doing so protects the motor bearings.
MSK motors features multiple housing designs. The housing of the MSK100C-0300-NN-M2-BG0-RNNN motor is designed with increased concentricity and run out. The encoder on the motor is an optical encoder with EnDat 2.1 interface and 2048 signal periods. One of the functions of the drive controller is to provide motor power. The cable carrying the power connects to a socket on side B of the motor housing. The motor dissipates heat via natural convection. For loads with higher torque requirements, you can operate the motor with surface cooling. For optimal operation, the temperature of air surrounding the motor should be between 0 and 40 degrees Celsius. The output of the motor derates if the site elevation exceeds 1000 meters. To prevent wiring errors and other types of potential installation errors, Bosch recommends that the planning and execution of motor installation should be carried out by trained personnel.
