Product Description
The Bosch MSK100B-0450-NN-S1-BP0-NNNN is an industrial servo motor. It is called a servo motor because it supports feedback and, in combination with a servo controller, forms part of a closed-loop control system. The motor encoder is a sensor that measures speed and other motor parameters. The motor transmits parameter measurements to the servo controller. The controller adjusts its output, which is fed to the motor, on the basis on feedback received from the motor. MSK motors support six different types of encoders. The encoder on the MSK100B-0450-NN-S1-BP0-NNNN is an optical singleturn encoder. Singleturn encoders are rotary encoders that measure position within one rotation. The encoder on the MSK100B-0450-NN-S1-BP0-NNNN motor supports Hiperface and is rated for 128 signal periods. The system accuracy of the encoder is ±120 angular seconds.
The maximum encoder speed is 12000 RPM. The maximum current consumption is 60 milliamps and the supply voltage range is 7 to 12 Volts DC. If required, operators can order optional holding brakes for their MSK motor. A holding brake is not available on the MSK100B-0450-NN-S1-BP0-NNNN motor. The motor relies on convection cooling for heat dissipation. LEM fan units can be ordered as accessory kits. For certain MSK motors, the fan units can be supplied assembled ex-works. Fan units are intended for an attachment to motors in applications with high repetition frequencies or continuous operation. Installation of fan kits on MSK motors allows use with forced-air cooling (surface cooling). The permitted ambient temperature for motor operation is 0 to 40 degrees Celsius. The main output haft on the MSK100B-0450-NN-S1-BP0-NNNN includes a keyway and a shaft seal. The main electrical socket is on side B of the standard motor housing.
