Product Description
The MSK100B-0450-NN-S1-AG1-NNNN is an advanced Bosch Rexroth servo motor. It supports several features that make it an ideal choice for high-performance automation systems. The motor features a 32 Nm holding brake. The holding brake works according to the principle of electrical release: it releases the motor shaft after application of a 24 Volts DC signal. The brake is a safety device that prevents accidental or unintentional shaft rotation. The brake draws 0.93 Amps during operation. Its maximum connection time is 15 milliseconds and its maximum disconnection time is 115 milliseconds. Another feature available on the motor is an optical singleturn encoder. An encoder is a digital sensor that measure motor speed and torque. It is an essential component of feedback based control systems. The motor sends encoder measurements, known as feedback, to a controller whose function is to control motor speed and torque.
Feedback enables the controller to obtain access to real-time motor parameter values. This in turn allows the controller to adjust its output frequency and voltage. The motor responds to changes in input frequency and voltage by varying its speed, torque and position. Servo systems with MSK motors and drive controllers are highly-suited to applications such as food-processing machines, packaging machines and robotics. Operators with MSK motors can specify four different locations for the power connector. The power socket on the MSK100B-0450-NN-S1-AG1-NNNN motor is on side A of the housing. The servo motor has a smooth shaft with a seal. The shaft seal requires periodic inspection and maintenance. Protection class of the motor is IP65. Operator can use the MSK100B-0450-NN-S1-AG1-NNNN motor with convection cooling. Operators can also install an optional cooling fan for surface cooling.
