The Bosch MSK100B-0450-NN-M1-BG0-NNNN is a MSK servo motor. MSK motors are suited to applications such as metal-forming machines, machine tools and robotics. Rated speed of the motor is 4500 RPM. The motor is available in a standard housing with IP65 protection rating. This rating indicates that the housing provides complete protection against dust ingress. The motor housing also provides protection against water directed at the housing form low-pressure water jets. The factors that contribute to this excellent rating are a sealed housing, sealed power and feedback cable connectors, and a shaft seal. The IP65 rating allows motor use in adverse conditions. For optimal operation as per manufacturer specifications, the MSK100B-0450-NN-M1-BG0-NNNN motor should be used at ambient temperatures that are below 40 degrees Celsius. The motor is designed for convection cooling. Proper heat dissipation requires smooth airflow, which in turn requires appropriate inter-device spacing. Operators should therefore ensure appropriate spacing between the motor and other heat-generating devices.
