Product Description
The Bosch Rexroth MSK100B-0450-NN-M1-AP1-NNNN is a servo motor. It is part of the MSK product line. Operators can use the motor in combination with a drive controller. The function of the controller is to control motor speed, torque and position. An encoder on the motor measures speed and torque, and sends this information, known as feedback, to the controller. The controller compares motor feedback with speed and torque values that are programmed by an operator prior to system commissioning. The controller uses the difference between the programmed and actual motor parameter values to adjust its output. The motor responds to changes in its input by changing its speed and torque. Bosch provides six options for the servo motor encoder. Operators can specify the encoder of their choice at the time of motor ordering. The MSK100B-0450-NN-M1-AP1-NNNN is equipped with an optical multiturn encoder with Hiperface.
The drive controller also supplies motor power via a power cable. This cable connects to a power connector on the motor housing. Bosch provides four options for the power connector location. The electrical connector on the MSK100B-0450-NN-M1-AP1-NNNN is on side A. operators can order MSK motors with a plain shaft or with a shaft that has a keyway. The main output shaft on the MSK100B-0450-NN-M1-AP1-NNNN motor has a keyway. The shaft also features a sealing ring. Holding brakes are available as an option for MSK motors. The MSK100B-0450-NN-M1-AP1-NNNN comes with a 32 Nm holding brake. The brake operates i.e. releases the shaft on application of a 24 Volts DC signal. The motor has a standard IP65 rated housing. It is designed for convection cooling. The maximum permitted ambient temperatures 40 degrees Celsius.
