The MSK100B-0400-NN-M2-BG1-RNNN is a Bosch servo motor with an integrated encoder. Bosch provides six encoders for its MSK series of motors: three of these are singleturn encoders and three are multiturn encoder. The MSK100B-0400-NN-M2-BG1-RNNN motor is equipped with an optical multiturn encoder. The encoder is an absolute encoder with an EnDat 2.1 interface. The distinguishable revolutions are 4096 and signal periods are 2048. The encoder preserves the absolute position of the axis even after switch-off. The MSK100B-0400-NN-M2-BG1-RNNN motor features an integrated holding brake. Technical data for the brake includes 32 Nm holding torque, 24 Volts DC voltage rating, 1.29 Amps current rating, 15 milliseconds maximum connection time, 115 milliseconds maximum disconnection time, and 0.001242 kg m2 moment of inertia. The IP65 rated motor housing is designed for increased concentricity and run out.
Surface of the motor housing is coated with prime black coat. An additional layer of protective paint can be applied on top of the prime coat. The weight of the motor, including the holding brake, is 36.5 kilograms. Speed rating of the servo motor is 4500 RPM. Its thermal class is 155 as per EN 60034-1. The sound pressure produced by the operating motor does not exceed 75 dB. Thermal time constant for the MSK100B-0400-NN-M2-BG1-RNNN motor is 40 minutes. The power cable connects to a power socket located on side B of the servo motor housing. The MSK100B-0400-NN-M2-BG1-RNNN motor features a smooth main output shaft with a sealing ring. Trained personnel should handle and install the motor. Bosch does not permit any modification to the motor firmware or hardware. The motor should be inspected at the time of delivery. Damaged motors should not be installed or operated.
