The Bosch Rexroth MSK100B-0400-NN-M1-RG0-NNNN is an industrial servo motor. It is known as a servo motor as it is equipped with a sensor – known as an encoder – that provides feedback to a connected controller. The function of the encoder is to measure motor speed, torque, and position. The controller uses motor feedback to determine if the motor speed and position are the same or if they are different from desired values programmed by an operator. Depending on the difference, if any, the controller adjusts its output. The motor responds to the controller output by making its speed and position match the desired speed and position values. This process continues as long as the system is in operation. Servo systems comprised of MSK motors are widely deployed for commercial applications that include robotics, food-processing machines, packaging machines and machine tools.

The MSK100B-0400-NN-M1-RG0-NNNN is a servo motor with frame length 100 and frame size B. The code for the motor winding is 0400.
