The MSK100B-0400-NN-M1-LG0-NNNN is a Bosch Rexroth MSK series servo motor. The motor works in combination with a servo controller. Servo systems with MSK motors are well suited to industrial applications such as metal-forming machines, machine tools, printing machines and food processing machines. Performance data for MSK motors provided in the product documentation is valid for 0 to 40 degrees Celsius ambient temperature and 0 to 1000 meters altitude. The performance of MSK motors reduces if either the altitude or temperature exceed specified limits. The maximum temperature at which MSK motors are allowed to be used with performance derating is 55 degrees Celsius. The maximum altitude at which MSK motors are allowed to be used with performance derating is 3000 meters. The specified temperature for motor transportation is -20 to 80 degrees Celsius.
The specified temperature for motor storage is -20 to 60 degrees Celsius. MSK motor are IP65 rated which allows their use in adverse operating conditions. The motor housing and cable connections are fully sealed. In addition, the output shaft is also sealed. The MSK100B-0400-NN-M1-LG0-NNNN is equipped with a smooth shaft. The encoder installed on the MSK100B-0400-NN-M1-LG0-NNNN is an optical multiturn encoder rated for 128 signal periods. The motor does not feature a holding brake. However holding brakes are available for MSK motors and can be specified at the time of ordering. Electrical connection on the motor is on the left side of the housing. The MSK100B-0400-NN-M1-LG0-NNNN works with natural convection and surface cooling. Surface cooling requires an axial or radial cooling fan. The cooling fan need to be ordered separately from Bosch. Only trained personnel should handle and operate MSK motors and associated equipment.
