Product Description
The Bosch Rexroth MSK100B-0300-NN-S1-LP0-NNNN is a digital servo motor. It works in combination with a drive controller. The controller provides motor power through a dedicated power cable. The power cable terminates on a connector located on the left side of the motor housing. The motor is equipped with an optical singleturn encoder. The function of this encoder is to measure motor speed and position. The motor sends these measurements, known as feedback, to the controller through a separate feedback cable. The connectors for both these cables on the MSK100B-0300-NN-S1-LP0-NNNN motor are sealed. The motor housing is also sealed. MSK motors belong to IP65 protection category. The working temperature range is 0 to 40 degrees Celsius. The motor output derates between 40 and 55 degrees Celsius. Installation site elevations for MSK motors should be between 0 and 1000 meters.
The motor output derates at elevations between 1000 and 3000 meters. The relative humidity range specified by Bosch is 5 to 95%. Operators can mount the MSK100B-0300-NN-S1-LP0-NNNN motor in several installation positions. One of these positions is installation position IM V1 (flange attachment on the drive side of the flange with the drive side facing down). For this position, any fluid present at the output shaft over a prolonged period may penetrate and cause damage to the motor. Therefore operators must ensure that fluid is not present at the output shaft. The MSK100B-0300-NN-S1-LP0-NNNN is equipped with an output shaft that includes a keyway and a seal. The motor is supplied without a holding brake. The recommended servo motor cooling method is natural convection. At higher loads, operators can use surface cooling (forced air cooling) for heat dissipation.
