Product Description
With revolutionary features like high torque density and compact design, the MSK motors of the IndraDyn S series are powerful factory automation units. They are designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth for applications including machine tools, printing and paper processing machines, and metal-forming machines.
The MSK100B-0300-NN-S1-AP1-NNNN is one of the synchronous servo motors in Bosch Rexroth’s MSK series. Like others in the series, it is operated-maintenance free and functions as a self-cooling motor. This is due to the adoption of natural convection as its mode of heat dissipation, where heat is transferred to the ambient air. The motor is equipped with a singleturn absolute encoder with the Hiperface interface for speed control and position detection. Since it uses the optical measurement method, it displays a high degree of precision and has a system accuracy of ±80 angular seconds. Thanks to the encoder’s inbuilt data memory, the motor can be commissioned rapidly, and it adjusts safely to its drive controller.
According to DIN ISO 281, the bearing of the MSK100B-0300-NN-S1-AP1-NNNN has a nominal lifetime of 30,000 operating hours. This applies as long as the servo motor is operated within safe limits for radial and axial loads. It has an IP 65 Ingress Protection rating according to EN 60529, indicating that it is protected against dust ingress and jet water from all directions. Another protective feature of this MSK model is its housing varnish which consists of a black (RAL9005) 2K epoxy resin coating based on epoxy polyamide resin in water. It protects the motor against dilute acidic or alkaline solutions, water, sewage, and current mineral oils. This model’s nominal speed is 3,000 revolutions per minute.
