Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s MSK servo motors are distinguished by their compact build and precise encoder systems. They are synchronous servo motors built to be used as rotary and servo main motors in several factory automation applications. Some of their areas of applications are machine tools and robotics.
The MSK100B-0300-NN-M3-RG0-NNNN is a synchronous servo motor model of the MSK series designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It uses a self-cooling heat dissipation system where heat generated is eliminated via natural convection. The motor also uses two temperature monitoring systems to prevent damage due to thermal overload. One of these is the temperature sensor of the KTY84 type built into the stator windings. This MSK model can generate a maximum torque of 102.0Nm and reach a maximum speed of 4,500 revolutions per minute. Its rotor’s moment of inertia is 0.01920 kgm2, while its thermal time constant is 40.0 min.
An optical encoder with the multiturn configuration and a Hiperface interface is the encoder of the MSK100B-0300-NN-M3-RG0-NNNN. It preserves the absolute position of the motor even after a switch-off and records the motor’s absolute indirect position within 4,096 revolutions. Its data memory stores the motor type name and its control loop parameters, ensuring rapid start-up and its safe adaptation to the drive controller. Based on the DIN EN 60529 standard, this motor belongs to the IP 65 protection category. Hence, it is touch-proof, dust-proof, and protected against water jets from all directions. Its plain output shaft provides a non-positive shaft-hub connection with zero backlash and ensures the motor’s noiseless operation. It also has a shaft sealing ring designed according to DIN 3760 - design A.
