Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s MSK synchronous motors are manufactured using a combination of past experiences and new technologies in the industry. These motors have a compact construction and are characterized by high dynamics, high torque density, and high precision due to their new optical encoder systems. They are designed to be used as rotary main and servo drive motors. Their typical applications include machine tools, metal-forming machines, robotics, and several others.
The MSK100B-0300-NN-M1-AP1-NNNN is a motor in this series and has an optical multiturn absolute encoder with the Hiperface interface. It has a system accuracy of ±80 angular seconds and allows the absolute, indirect position recording within 4,096 mechanical rotations with a data memory to store the motor’s parameters. The temperature of this motor is monitored by a temperature sensor built into its stator. It is equipped with a holding brake that works according to the principle of electrical release. This holds the axes at a standstill when the controller enabler signal is off, and it has a 32Nm holding torque.
As a self-cooling motor, heat dissipation in the MSK100B-0300-NN-M1-AP1-NNNN is via natural convection to the ambient air and heat conducting to the machine construction. It is equipped with a shaft with a keyway and radial shaft sealing ring. The radial shaft sealing rings are friction seals that keep the motor lubricated for its lifetime if used under expected environmental conditions. This motor has four pole pairs and a maximum speed of 4,500 rpm. Its protection rating is IP 65 according to DIN EN 60529, indicating that it has complete shock protection and is protected against the penetration of dust and damage from water jets.
