Product Description
Servo motors form the backbone of many automation systems like the Rexroth IndraDrive drive system. Bosch Rexroth built its MSK family of motors to meet standard servo motor requirements and more. This is possible because these synchronous servo motors can be upgraded by the addition of units.
The MSK100B-0200-NN-M1-AP2-NNNN is one of the models of the powerful MSK series of synchronous servo motors designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It permits cooling via natural convection in a process where the heat generated during the motor’s operation is transferred to the ambient air. This heat can also be eliminated via conduction to the walls of its housing. The motor’s housing is coated with a varnish consisting of a black (RAL9005) 2K epoxy resin coating based on epoxy polyamide resin in water. Hence, a significant degree of chemical resistance against dilute acids and alkaline solutions, seawater, sewage, and current mineral oils is guaranteed. There is also a measure of resistance to organic solvents and hydraulic oils thanks to this coating.
According to the EN 60529 standard, the MSK100B-0200-NN-M1-AP2-NNNN belongs to protection class IP 65. This indicates that the motor is completely sealed, touch-proof, and dust-proof. It is equipped with a multiturn absolute encoder where position detection and speed control are achieved via the optical measurement method. The encoder’s system accuracy is ±80 angular seconds, and it preserves the recorded absolute position even after a switch-off. This MSK model has a nominal speed of 2,000 revolutions per minute, and its theoretical maximum torque is 102.0Nm. Its rotor’s moment of inertia is 0.01920 kgm2, and it can reach a maximum speed of 4,100 revolutions per minute.
