Product Description
Bosch Rexroth’s drive and motion control products display impressive performance for different kinds of applications. The company is the designer and manufacturer of the synchronous servo motors of the MSK series with high torque density.
The MSK100A-0450-NN-S2-BG0-RNNN is a Bosch Rexroth servo motor model in the MSK series. It is built with a KTY84 thermal sensor in its stator windings to protect it from irreversible damage caused by thermal overload. This sensor works with an independent temperature monitoring system called the temperature model. It is cooled by natural convection, where heat is dissipated to the ambient air due to temperature differences and to the walls of the motor housing. The motor’s maximum speed is 6,000 revolutions per minute, while the moment of inertia of its rotor is 0.01100 kgm2. Because of its sealed housing, it is safe for use in poor environmental conditions. This housing is dustproof, touch-proof, and impervious to water jet sprays; hence, its Ingress Protection rating is IP 65, in line with EN 60529.
A singleturn encoder with EnDat 2.1 is the integrated encoder system of the MSK100A-0450-NN-S2-BG0-RNNN. It detects the motor’s absolute, indirect position within one mechanical motor rotation with a system accuracy of ±20 angular seconds. The encoder also uses the optical measurement method to provide high precision in this function. With its data memory, where the motor type name and control loop parameters are stored, the motor’s startup is rapid, and it can adapt to the drive controller with minimal risk. The output shaft of this MSK model is plain and provides a non-positive shaft-hub connection with zero backlash. It also has a standard shaft sealing ring.
